Siemens energy and vehicle manufacturer have received support from the German government for a new eFuel plant in southern Chile. This plant will use green hydrogen generated from wind power along with atmospheric CO2 to create carbon neutral petrol.
Major Chilean power company AME and oil firms are involved in the project to bring state of the art technology for wind power generation, hydrogen release, direct CO2 cature from air and conversion of these to petrol.
